Getting Started

How do I record a reaction?

Tap "select a video" on the home screen, choose any video from your photo library, then tap the record button. MirraMoments will play the video while recording your reaction with the front camera. Recording stops automatically when the video ends.

What video formats are supported?

MirraMoments supports all video formats that are playable on your iPhone, including MP4, MOV, and M4V files from your photo library.

Can I use videos from other apps?

Yes! First save the video to your photo library, then select it from within MirraMoments.

Recording & Saving

Where are my recordings saved?

You have two options when saving: "Save to Photos" saves the video to your photo library where you can share it anywhere. "Save to App" keeps the moment only within MirraMoments.

What is the side-by-side video feature?

After recording, you can create a side-by-side video that shows the original video and your reaction playing together. This is perfect for sharing reaction videos.

Can I trim or edit my recordings?

MirraMoments focuses on capturing moments simply. For editing, save your video to Photos and use your preferred video editing app.

Why did my recording stop early?

Recording automatically stops when the source video ends. If you leave the app or receive a phone call, the recording will also stop to save your progress.

Privacy & Storage

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?

No. All videos are stored locally on your device only. MirraMoments has no servers and cannot access your content. Your moments are completely private.

How do I delete a moment?

Open the moment from your gallery, then tap the delete button. You can also delete all app data by uninstalling MirraMoments.

Do I need an account?

No. MirraMoments works entirely offline with no sign-up required.

How much storage space do recordings use?

Storage depends on video length and quality. A typical 1-minute reaction video uses approximately 50-100 MB.

Permissions

Why does MirraMoments need camera access?

The camera is used to record your reaction while watching videos. Without camera access, MirraMoments cannot function.

Why does MirraMoments need microphone access?

The microphone captures audio along with your reaction video. This includes your voice and the audio from the video playing.

Why does MirraMoments need photo library access?

Photo library access allows you to select videos to watch and optionally save your recorded moments back to your Photos.

How do I grant permissions if I denied them?

Go to Settings > MirraMoments on your iPhone and enable Camera, Microphone, and Photos access.

Watermark & Purchases

Why is there a watermark on my exported videos?

MirraMoments is free to use. Exported videos include a small "Made with MirraMoments" watermark. You can remove it with a one-time purchase of $4.99—no subscription required.

How do I remove the watermark?

Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right corner of the home screen and select "Remove Watermark". Complete the one-time purchase and all future exports will be watermark-free.

I already purchased watermark removal but it's still showing

Tap the gear icon (⚙️) and select "Restore Purchases". This will restore your purchase from the App Store. If the issue persists, try restarting the app.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for any App Store purchase.

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not responding

Try closing and reopening the app. If issues persist, restart your iPhone. Make sure you're running the latest version of iOS.

Video playback is choppy or laggy

This can happen with very high-resolution videos. Try using a shorter video or one with lower resolution.

I can't find my saved moments

Tap "moments" on the home screen to view your gallery. If you saved to Photos instead, check your photo library.

The recording has no audio

Make sure microphone access is enabled in Settings > MirraMoments. Also check that your device isn't in silent mode.
